Birdwatching in Tsumagoi, Gunma (2 June, 2021)

 Tsumagoi is just about 30 minutes drive from Karuizawa, one of the most famous birding spot to see summer migrants.  Birds seen there is basically same as Karuizawa.  However, number of birders are very few.  So, we enjoyed very relaxed and quiet birding.


Birds seen/heard were as below:

Butterfly Watching in Shonan-daira (31 May, 2021)

 Shonan-daira is about 200m elevation.  Famous birding spot for waxwing in winter.  I visited there to photograph Favonius orientalis.
