Birdwatching in Shiga Kogen (June 2-4, 2024)

 

In June, the Shiga Kogen plateau was very beautiful with fresh greenery. Unfortunately the weather was cloudy and rainy, but we were able to observe birds we had never seen before in Shiga Kogen, such as White-backed Woodpecker and Eurasian Treecreeper.

 Sunny and hot day.  Although the breeding season is nearly ended, some song birds were still vocal.
