Birdwatching in Oike-Koen (February 20, 2021)

A rather warm and sunny day.  Although most of highlight species were not seen well, it was glad for me to see a female Ring-necked Duck after 30 December.  Japanese White-eyes were busy to feed nectar of plum flowers.

Birdwatching in Shonan-daira & Hiratsuka (February 14, 2021)

Although it was cloudy, I tried walkingup to Shonan-daira to check whether or not waxwings are there.  As very few fruits remains on the orchids, I just confirmed no more waxwing there.  There were a large flock of Japanese Grosbeak on the slope.  After going down to Hiratsuka, I briefly dropped in the waxwing's spot where I saw 11 February.  They are still there while many of them stay along the riverside to drink water or rest on the tree.
