Birdwatching in Tanzawa (February 26, 2023)

Because of the snow fall in the late last night, the mountains were covered with snow.  Contrast between snow white and blue sky was so beautiful.  Western Tanzawa area is surrounded by high mountains of about 1,000 - 1,500 metre heights.  The area holds good population of Copper Pheasant, White-backed Woodpecker and Mountain Hawk-eagle.  I climbed up one of the forest roads.  Although I didn't see nor hear many birds, I was able to find three flocks of Asian Rosy Finch.
