Birdwatching in Shiga Highland, Nagano (June 18-20, 2022)

Shiga Highland is located in east of Nagano City.  Several marshes and ponds are found in the highland, which is about 1,500m.  Although very few birding records are recently found, the boreal forest covers good variety of species, including Japanese and Siberian Blue Robin, Blue-and-white Flycatcher, Japanese and Sakhalin Leaf Warbler, Japanese Yellow and Grey Bunting.  Daurian Redstart breeds in the highland.
