Although my initial target was male Baikal Teal, no duck was seen in the pond as the pond was frozen. It was the first time in this winter to photograph a White's Thrush and a male Red-flanked Bluetail. Japanese Woodpecker seemed to be preparing his nest, though it is too early for them to start breeding.
