Birdwatching in Yatsugatake and Tateshina, Nagano (May 25-27, 2023) 1

 Yatsugatake area holds a good variety of song birds.  My first target was Japanese Robin while I also tried looking for Siberian Thrush and Dark-sided Flycatcher.  Although I visited a bit late to see the robin, they were still active and seen well in a few locations.  On the other hand, I didn't even hear any call of Siberian Thrush nor Dark-sided Flycatcher.  

Other highlights include Japanese Thrush, Siberian Stonchat, Chestnut-cheeked Starling and Chestnut-eared Bunting.
